Taking coaching for mental health seriously.

At fifty50 we are passionate about championing mental health and delivering coaching results. We are a forward-thinking company on a mission to place mental health at the heart of workplace culture. We know the many benefits coaching has when it comes to wellbeing. However,  in an unregulated industry, where every coach appears to be an expert in mental health and wellbeing, it is without question quite a tricky landscape to navigate.

One of our company goals is to professionalise how mental health is supported through coaching - and we’re doing just this. Our partners can rest assured that the fifty50 Coaching team are professionally accredited coaching experts with oodles of charisma, career capital and a dollop of real-life ‘lived’ mental health experience. After all, as we say at fifty50, we all have mental health.

But is this enough? We don’t think so. We’ve gone a step further to ensure that all our coaches are fully equipped to handle mental health and understand how to prioritise wellbeing in a coaching framework. We’re delighted to announce that our bespoke in-house Mental Health Awareness Training for coaches is now International Coaching Federation (ICF) Continuing Coach Education (CCE) accredited.

The ICF CCE accredited training is considered the “gold standard” of coaching CPD. Each CCE training is carefully mapped against ICF’s Core Competencies to ensure coaches maintain the high standards. Our Mental Health Awareness CCE training is designed to advance and deepen our partner coaches’ capabilities and competencies, expanding their existing skills. We ensure our partner coaches always deliver ethical coaching and high-quality coaching for mental fitness and positive wellbeing by providing accredited training.

In an unregulated world, this makes us stand out from the crowd.

The fifty50 Coaching Mental Health Awareness Training is our version of Mental Health First Aid Training, tailored to meet the demands of coaching. Our partner coaches gain a deep understanding of mental health and mental illness, and our comprehensive training covers mental health content that generally is not covered in coach training programmes. Our partner coaches are trained to confidently coach close to the mental health boundary and learn how best to support clients through our coaching-centric referral process. This way, we can keep delivering coaching results through wrap-around client care if needed. Our coaches are equipped to provide valuable coaching ‘first-aid’ interventions, which means they know how to support someone effectively at the moment should things get distressing.

We’ve done our due diligence so that our coaching provision will support the emotional needs of people at work. Through our confidential coaching, your people will increase their mental health reserves, they’ll become mentally fitter, happier, healthier and authentically perform at their best. Don’t just take our word for it, see what some of our partners have to say:

Possibly the most important initiative I’ve launched in my career to date.

Andy Wansell, MD @ YM&U Group.

An opportunity to pause, reflect and talk through challenges with somebody who is totally impartial.

Edward Guinness, CEO @ Guinness Asset Management.
